Data Engineer
Location: London or Newcastle Offices (Hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000
20% Employer Pension Contribution
I'm working with a well-established public sector organisation to hire a Data Engineer to support the build and evolution of their cloud-based data platform.
This role will play a key part in designing and delivering scalable data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and ensuring high-quality, accessible data across the organisation. You'll collaborate closely with analytics engineers, data scientists, and wider technology teams to enable data-driven decision making.
What you'll be doing:
* Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
* Integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
* Ensuring data quality, security, and reliability across systems
* Collaborating with stakeholders to support data modelling and analytics
* Monitoring and optimising data platform performance
* Supporting the development of cloud-based data infrastructure
What we're looking for form the Data Engineer:
* Experience as a Data Engineer in a cloud environment (Azure preferred)
* Strong SQL and Python skills
* Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines at scale
* Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar
* Understanding of data modelling and data architecture principles
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
