Cloud Platform Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
20% Employer Pension Contribution
I'm working with a well known public sector organisation to hire a Cloud Platform Engineer to play a key role in building and maintaining their Azure cloud infrastructure.
This position will focus on infrastructure as code, automation, and platform reliability, working closely with development and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.
What you'll be doing:
* Designing and managing Azure cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform)
* Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications
* Monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and improving reliability
* Implementing security, compliance, and governance best practices
* Supporting incident management and root cause analysis
* Collaborating with engineering teams to embed DevOps practices
The Cloud Platform Engineer will have:
* Strong experience with Azure cloud services
* Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
* Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
* Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Understanding of cloud security, networking, and monitoring tools
